The RX4E Aircraft Completed the Ground Inspection Test of the Marking Sign

On October 28th, 2022, the ground inspection test of RX4E electric aircraft markingsign was successfully carried out at Caihu airport in Faku of Liaoning Province. Yin Chong, deputy director of Flight Performance Office of Shenyang Aircraft Airworthiness Certification Center of Civil Aviation of China, witnessed the entire inspection process as a censor.

Aircraft marking signs mainly include flight and power instrument signs, operation devices,emergency exit signs,and so on. Generally through shape and color of the marking signs, as well asthe text and graphic information of signs,theyclearly and accurately indicate to the pilot and crew the use of the aircraft restrictions, methods of use and other information. As part of the cockpit man-machine interface,it directly affects the pilot’s behavior and performance and the flight safety of the aircraft,therefore the airworthiness regulations have strict and unified requirements for the design of the civil aircraft sign.

Before the inspection, the test leader introduced the configuration state, inspection content and process of the test aircraft to the test pilots and censor representative.The test pilot then checked the aircraft’ssigns item by item in accordance with the requirements of the inspection program. During the inspection process, the test pilot put forwardopinions on the design of some signs and discussed with the designer. Representative Yin Chong also put forward valuable suggestions for the design improvement. Finally, censors made on-site comments on the whole inspection process and results, and put forward suggestions for improvement on the deficiencieswhichfound in the process.

With the successful completion of the ground inspection of aircraft markingsigns, the ground inspection test of the RX4E aircraft has been completed. With the strong support of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the efforts of the Liaoning General Aviation Academy, the compliance verification of the RX4E four-seater electric aircraft is progressing steadily.
