The Four-seater Electric Aircraft RX4E Has Successfully Completed the Static Test of the Wing Root Assembly

Recently, the static test of RX4E wing root assemblythefour-seater electric aircraft RX4E developed by Liaoning General AviationAcademy was successfully completed in theDesign Laboratory ofAVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group Co., LTD.Zhang Qingxin, executive vice president of Liaoning General AviationAcademy, accompanied Liu Xiuzhi, the review representative ofSYAACC (Shenyang Aircraft Airworthiness Certification Center of Civil Aviation Administration of China), to observe the whole process of the test.The smooth implementation and completion of the test verified the structural strength of the most critical design point of the aircraft, "the wing docking section to the wing ribs", indicating that the structural strength of the wing structure and the high stress area of the wing beam met the design and airworthiness requirements, and laid a foundation for the subsequent fatigue and damage tolerance test of the whole aircraft structure.

The static test of the wing root assembly was conducted to verify whether the design strength of the key composite structure ofthefour-seater electric aircraft RX4E wing meets the requirements of the design and airworthiness regulations. The body structure of RX4E is designed with carbon fiber composite material, which proves the airworthiness according to the building block method recommended by AC 20-107B, and plans five levels of verification projects from sample level to full size level. The static test of wing root assemblybeingcarried out this time belongs to the combination level test project.

Before the test, the applicant actively coordinates the test unit tofulfillthe test preparation work and complete the self-inspection of the manufacturing compliance inspection. After the communication and coordination between the two parties, the manufacturing inspection team of RX4E aircraft airworthinessinspection group authorized the manufacturing compliance inspection of this test, and Sun Jinbo appointed the manufacturing inspection representative (DMIR) toimplement the manufacturing compliance inspection of this test. From April 13 to 14, the appointed manufacturing inspection representative inspected and confirmed the test installation, test equipment and test personnel qualification of the test according to the manufacturing compliance inspection request sheet inDesign Laboratory ofAVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group Co., LTD. .With the manufacturing inspection representativemaking the final confirmationthatRX4E aircraft wing root assembly test parts, test tooling, test installation and loading, test equipment, test personnelallmeet the requirements of the outline, and with thecorrection measures formanufacturing inspection problemsmeeting inspection requirementsandbeingclosed, the manufacturing compliance inspection of the test work successfully completedand movedinto the test implementation stage.

The static test ofthefour-seater electric aircraft RX4E wing root assembly is one of the key verification projects of both parties, and also one of the participatinginspection projects determined by thecensors. Academician Yang Fengtian, chief scientist of Liaoning General AviationAcademy,was deeply concerned about the test progress andinquired the progressseveral times. On the day of the test, President Zhang Qingxin personally visited the test site to coordinate and guide the implementation of the test, which greatly encouraged the morale of the test team.Theinspection representatives participated in the test by means of on-site witnessinspecton.Ms.Liu Xiuzhi confirmed the test preparation and the pre-test inspection work and approved the start of the test. Ms. Liu put forward valuable implementation opinions during the implementation of the test, which enabled the applicants and the test unit to successfully complete the test. It fully reflected the "green approval" concept ofSYAACC,andhelped the applicants to reduce risks, control the cost and increase the efficiency to the greatest extent, andtoquickly promote the project progress.

Under the guidance ofShenyang Aircraft Airworthiness Certification Center of Civil Aviation Administration of China (SYAACC),andwith the strong support of Design Laboratory of AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group Co., LTD,623 Institute and other test units, ouracademy will actively coordinate the resources of all parties to promote the airworthiness examination and approval of RX4E aircraft. With the smooth passage of this test, the airworthiness verification work of RX4E aircraft structure has entered the sprint stage, and China's first self-developed normal electric aircraft is about to complete the airworthiness verification work, realizing a new breakthrough in the airworthiness certification engineering practice of China's new energy electric aircraft.
